There are many kinds of materials which are suitable for drying machine, usually we classify the materials on the basis of materials and contact ways with water. Materials can be divided into three kinds based on this classification, here are the details:
1. The capillary porous materials. The moisture of this material is mainly contained inside of the materials by capillary action, such as sand, silica, active carbon, biscuit firing ceramics, which has less intensity and material moisture, and it is relatively simple for drying machine;
2. The colloidal materials. The contact between this material and water is dominated by soak, such as rubber, flour, which usually reflects high viscosity, larger contact intensity of water and materials, and it is more difficult for the dryer;
3. The capillary porous colloidal materials. The nature of this class of materials is the combination of these two types of materials. For example coal, clay, wood, fabric, leather, grains are attributed to such kind of materials. This kind of material has the most varieties, but the water contact ways of such materials are also different, which means that their drying difficulties are not the same under the same conditions of the drying machine. In addition, the shapes of materials also have a great impact on the drying effects, such as particles, larger particles are harder to be dried than the small particles, but for bulk materials, smaller thickness is more simple to be dried than greater thickness materials.
